The young Rexbirb woke from his sleep, as he usually did after a good night’s rest, and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. He was a lone birb, without a family, and had lived a bit different than most other birbs might usually do. His nest was underground, more than twelve feet so, but it did not muffle all noise from what was happening above. Once the birb had finished his usual morning chores, he moved over to turn the page on the calendar he had, only to discover what day it was, now seeming to understand why there was so much noise above the ground.
